GARRETT HARTMAN
TEACHER BY TRADE | REALTOR BY DESIRE
I'm Garrett Hartman, a Texas native, longtime educator, and Realtor® with Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Gary Greene.
Originally from Sealy, Texas, I now call Cypress home, where I'm raising my family and helping clients navigate one of the most dynamic real estate markets in Greater Houston.
For more than 20 years, education has been at the center of my professional life. That experience shaped how I approach real estate: listen first, explain clearly, challenge assumptions, and make sure people understand the decisions they're making.
Real estate isn't just about finding a house or negotiating a sale. It's about understanding what you're buying, what you're selling, and why it matters.
That's the philosophy behind Hartman Living Texas.
BEYOND THE SURFACE
A DIFFERENT PERSPECTIVE ON REAL ESTATE
A home is more than its square footage, finishes, or asking price. Some of the most important factors influencing its functionality, long-term value, and resale potential aren't immediately visible.
Having studied architecture and engineering at the university level, and spent more than two decades teaching architecture, engineering, and manufacturing, I've developed an appreciation for how homes are designed, constructed, and ultimately experienced.
That background influences the questions I ask and the details I pay attention to, from construction methods and material choices to floor plans, lot characteristics, and the surrounding development.
For buyers, it's about looking beyond the obvious to understand what they're purchasing. For sellers, it's about recognizing what makes their property distinctive and presenting those qualities with purpose.
Because a beautiful home and a smart real estate decision aren't always the same thing.
ROOTED IN CYPRESS.
CONNECTED TO GREATER HOUSTON.
I call Cypress home. It's where I live, work, and raise my family. And when you experience a community every day, you develop an appreciation for the details that make it unique.
Real estate is local, and understanding a market requires more than studying home prices and neighborhood boundaries. It's about recognizing how communities develop, how infrastructure and commercial growth shape an area, and what those changes may mean for homeowners.
From Cypress and Bridgeland to Katy, Hockley, Waller, and the surrounding Greater Houston area, I help buyers and sellers navigate the characteristics that distinguish one community, neighborhood, or property from another.
Through Hartman Living Texas and my Connecting Cypress video series, I share insights into local development, new construction, community growth, and the evolving real estate landscape.
Because understanding where you live is just as important as understanding the home itself.
SMARTER REAL ESTATE
LET’S TALK REAL ESTATE
Good decisions start with good conversations.
I've spent my career helping people learn, ask better questions, and understand the decisions in front of them. Real estate should be no different.
Whether you're buying your first home, evaluating new construction, or preparing to sell, my approach is simple: educate first, provide perspective, and help you make informed decisions with confidence.
No pressure. No unnecessary sales pitch. Just a conversation about what matters to you.
